Typeflux

Typeflux is an AGPL-3.0 macOS menu bar app written in Swift. Hold the hotkey (Fn by default), speak, release, and the transcribed text is inserted at the cursor in any app, with the clipboard as a fallback; tapping the key instead switches to locked recording for longer passages. Double-pressing Fn opens Ask Anything, where speech becomes a question, an instruction to rewrite selected text, or a multi-step agent task. Speech recognition can run on-device with SenseVoice, FunASR, WhisperKit medium or large, or Qwen3-ASR, or through Typeflux Cloud, Alibaba Cloud, Doubao, Google, OpenAI, Groq, Soniox or a multimodal LLM. Named personas switch the output style, streaming preview shows partial text while you speak, vocabulary terms are collected automatically from your own corrections, and every session is stored locally with audio replay, retry and Markdown export.
