微信输入法 (WeChat Input Method) is Tencent's free input method for Android, iOS, Windows and macOS, with a HarmonyOS build since July 2026. Since the 3.0 mobile release in December 2025 its release notes have centred on voice: a large-model recogniser that takes Mandarin, English and "multiple dialects" spoken freely in one utterance, no limit on recording length, and offline voice on Android, iOS and HarmonyOS. On Mac you hold fn (Ctrl+Win on Windows) to talk and the text is transcribed into the field in real time; on mobile you long-press the space bar. The mid-2026 releases added an AI tidy-up pass that strips filler words, adds punctuation and paragraphs, reorders muddled sentences and summarises long dictation into bullet points. The app is completely free with no in-app purchases; the privacy policy says audio is sent to Tencent servers for real-time transcription and not stored.
